Who We Are
First and foremost, we are a group of Bible-believing individuals who desire to serve Christ and love our neighbors.
Higher Ground Pastor Nate Royer is a father of 3 young children who works full-time as a General and Electrical Contractor in addition to pastoring Higher Ground. He didn't choose to become a pastor. Rather, he answered the call God placed on his life.
Higher Ground is a Home Missions church--that means the building and the people inside are still "under construction." It gets better all the time, but don't be surprised to find things aren't what you'd expect if you visited an established church.
What We Believe
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God (II Timothy 3:16; Ephesians 3:5; II Peter 3:2).
We believe there is only one God (Deuteronomy 6:4 ).
We believe in water baptism by immersion in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sin (Romans 6:3-6; Colossians 2:11-14; Acts 2:38).
We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the initial sign of speaking in other tongues (Acts 2:4).
Above all, we believe that the Book of Acts is the history of the early church, and we strive to be an Apostolic church in the truest sense of the word. We want to be a Bible church, filled with Bible-followers.

Higher Ground started as a God-given vision, and it has grown into a body of believers who is dedicated to Apostolic doctrine, who values the word of God, and who loves the Lord and one another.
